My son, using an iPhone 5S, Hipstamatic App, in front of the window blinds and a few of his finger light toys (red and blue). The app is pretty cool, it's supposed to emulate classic 35mm film stock and lenses with about 10 of each to choose and mix and match from. Plus I really liked the background and the backlight that the window light gives him on his face and hair in the left side of the image.

Cool effects, Greg! Reminds me of some psychedelic / prog rock album covers.

Nice! He kind of reminds me of the kid from "The Shining" -- you know, the six-ish year old who rode a tricycle around that empty hotel.
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

One of my friends said the same thing, Karlo! So we will consider this his self-titled debut album...

Thank you, sir! And this photo is one of the best I've seen on here, Bak, the B&W, depth of field and composition of the lights are all beautifully done.

+1
I particularly like how you have composed the church picture, with the subject OOF, looming in the background.

Wonderful, Karlo. There's just so much more dramatic character in B&W, you again have perfectly displayed that here.

Wow!! Fantastic shot.  The new camera (and vacation time) seems to have inspired  you even further.

And "The Thinker" has me thinking ;D

I just got back from vacation myself.  Here's Chicago, from the plane.

WoW! You took that? Amazing! My brother lives in downtown Chicago and will probably want this on his wall!  8)

I somehow have missed a lot of these pages on this thread, but such great stuff in here.

Yes, b&w has endless possibilities and I think it's usually better in photography because it emphasizes what I feel photography usually tends to depict best; lights, shadows, lines & contrast. Of course there are situations where colour is better, but that is usually when the subject of the photograph is colour.
The pictures posted below wouldn't really work in monochrome - well, apart from the two in the middle, perhaps. They are also pretty much the only colour pictures I've uploaded to flickr, apart from a couple of flower pictures, some which are present both in mono & colour, and some resent landscapes from Lake Kitka, out of 217 photos.

Indeed! As a matter of fact, I'll need to step outside after Symphonies. :)

That visit to the front yard really paid off, but this is from four weeks ago.
