What, Canadians don't do this? Saves a lot of space and mess in the home--not to mention the ease in transport and reduced diaper costs... Samuel Clemens came up with the idea (boys should be kept in a barrel until they are 18).  We plan to let the boy out when he hits kindergarten age, however. We're pretty progressive.

Mrs. Rock and I decided early on that the only way we'd have kids is if we were allowed to keep them in a closet until they were old enough to think and act rationally (29 or so). We didn't consider the bucket option  ;D
