A great example of your ability to take the ordinary and turn it into an extraordinary image. Amazing. I usually need something alive, and preferably female, to get inspired. I would not have seen the image in the pine cones even though my property is full of them right now.

Thanks. Inspiration is a fickle thing, though. Studying art (of any kind) and nature certainly helps me. And looking.

I love the mix of light and shadow here.

I took this snapshot at a truck stop in Ohio nine years ago because I admire the brand of truck (beautiful vehicle) and liked the grey and purple color scheme. I didn't notice the driver until later when I looked at the image closer on my laptop and noticed the silhouette. Horns or an unruly cowlick? Maybe Mephistopheles was driving  ???  ;D

Left click to enlarge.

Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

Whew! That's a relief. I was afraid I might be dragged to the bottomless pit for taking that pic. I guess my soul is safe.

So, was Thelonious hitching a ride to his next gig?  8)

I think it is actually a latch on the side of the Great Dane truck behind.  If you embiggen you can see the panel which it latches rather clearly.

My favorite so far of your pine needle series. Dark, foreboding atmosphere. Tapio is inhabiting this place  ;)

Thanks, Sarge.

That is indeed a great picture, and not just because of the model.

There is something optimistic in that one for me; the way that the light catches the droplet.
