Does anybody know this one?

[asin]B000VAQX3C[/asin]

It has a nice and various collection of songs [EDIT]by various artists[/EDIT]. And a pretty lady (cartoon) on the cover.

It has "Another Brick in the Wall" in two parts. GREAT!

Spacy Sound on "Any Colour You Like". Always been a favorite of mine.

Waters said one song has absolutely nothing contrived in it.

Which song was that? I don't remember.

John: "So much interesting things you say!! I'm gonna purchase these records immediately. I really don't know that song you talk about. But it must be a very good song. Waters is such a big name in history of music, I recommended Dogs to you from that album, unfortunately I don't have the cd, but the DVD, again much praise for you, did you already purchase it. Another time I want to say to you: "Highly Recommended!"

John"

Of course this is a joke, people, don't remove it. John can appreciate it, I'm sure.

... "PS: Sorry for the broken english, it took long for me to write, I couldn't find the worse to express myself clear. Obviously your writings are far more to the point. Can't help it..  :-\"

Extra joke for John.

I no longer listen to Pink Floyd often, but when I do it's usually Dark Side, The Wall or Piper.

A rare listen for me too, but Wish You Were Here is my sentimental favourite.

Syd's last song with the group is appropriately creepy but also very sad.

Wish You Were Here and Animals are my favorite Floyd albums.

Certainly this message was posted while I was under heavy sedation. :) I LOVE Meddle and Dark Side of the Moon as well. The Wall is a work a genius, but I don't listen to it very much. In fact, today was the first time I've listened to it in its entirety in quite some time.

I think Animals isn't mentioned very much because it really came between two towering, colossal masterpieces Wish You Were Here and The Wall. Some people view Animals as merely a 'transitional' album, but I think the music speaks out by itself loudly and clearly. Animals is an album that I think takes several listens to fully appreciate much like Genesis' The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway or Yes' Close To The Edge for example. My reasoning for this opinion comes down to the fact that Animals doesn't have any easily digestible bits in it. You have Pigs On The Wing Parts I & II sandwiched in-between some pretty hefty pieces. I do think it's a successful album for them despite whatever kind of negative press it received and continues to receive.

All in all, you're all just bricks in the wall.
