Wonder about the philosophical reasons for not adding a gamba in sonatas 3,4 and 5.

Maybe a lack of coin. 

They argue that "The viola da gamba highlights the severe and rigorous character of the first sonata, emphasising its intricate counterpoint. In the second sonata, its presence evokes the sonata in D major for viola da gamba and obbligato harpsichord, BWV 1028, with its air of witty conversation. But maybe equally good arguments could be made for 3, 4 and 5. I'll listen to Brunello/Loreggian/Galligioni, presuming they add gamba or cello in all sonatas.

The performer is Edelton Gloeden, violão/guitar. The title is Integrais/Complete Works, and the composers listed are Camargo Guarnieri, Cesar Guerra-Piexe, Claudio Santoro, Osvaldo Lacerda, and Edino Krieger.

I'd presume this is the complete guitar music of those composers, but I have no idea of how much they wrote. In fact, I've never heard of Lacerda or Krieger before now.

ETA: Roy's link gives the track listing. 2 CDs, Guerra-Piexe fills up one of them, the other four fill up the other CD.
