The 'Haydn' Group

2014 marks the fifteenth year of the 'Haydn' Group/Listserv .

Founded in 1999, the organization consists of over 500 musicians, scholars, reviewers, and general Haydn/classical music enthusiasts. It serves as a friendly meeting place for anyone wishing to discuss Haydn's life and music, his world, and contemporary composers. It also attempts to bring news and shared information from the academic world to the general listener.

The list may serve as a perfect complement to Gurn Blanston's fine 'Haydn's Haus' forum, here on GMG.

I encourage all members with an interest in Haydn to check out this list. I did so recently, and there are many resources there, but it is sadly underutilized. They need some encouraging spirit there to go along with the wealth of knowledgeable membership they have now. Check it out!
