Don't worry, you'll get accustomed to it... :P

Hey, you're right! I'm over it already!   :)

Hope you're enjoying those Hickox Masses, BTW. That's a nice box. :)

Yes, indeed, and the music is fantastic! And I start coming into terms with the authentic instruments (talking about classical composers, not baroque!). Your Haydn blog isn't working. And Dzeko wasn't off-side!

Near thing; I don't know the nuance of the rule for offside, but it appeared left foot was over the line. In hockey he would have been clear, in football... ??

I've been listening to PI for so long they sound right to me always now. Once you're accustomed, can't go back. Think Brandenburg's!

Not working how? I was hoping it would work for everyone... :(

I think he left from well behind the line...

In baroque music I have no problem (and no choice...) but in classical-romantic eras I simply can't swallow the authentic instruments...  I can't accept that the composers would like the sound they make could they be able to hear the modern instruments. And if they were sounding well why then they were further developed? ...

Yes, now it works, thank you very much! and fine it looks, excellent job, congratulations!

May well have done. I am helpless in that regard. I always believe the referees are never wrong....   :o

Long story, we'll talk about it elsewhere if you like. Just consider; there were no concert halls in Vienna in the 18th century.....

Super, thanks for checking it out. :)

I'm positive I suffered a little brain attack when I did read the last part.  :P

I have a feeling Portugal is pissed from getting blown out by Germany, and Rinaldo will probably turn it on since the internet is filled with Sad Face Rinaldo pics. But anyway, go USA!

Yup, I'll be rooting for Team USA.  Can't stand Ronaldo.

Great match yesterday between Ghana and Germany.

Thanks for the spell-check, Ray.  8) didn't notice my autocorrect put Rinaldo.

And yes, Ghana and Germany was exciting.

Exact sentiment in this household.

Exciting match! But WHAT A BUZZKILL!!  ???

Still a point for US, and still in a better position than expected.

I'm good with it. Not a whole lot else to be done, is there? My homeboy scored again, but looked pretty lame as he headed for the sideline. Hope he's just tired... he oughtta be!   :)

Looked like a hamstring to me, unfortunately...

Wish you guys had held on that last minute; now the plague of Portuguese people driving up and down the street honking has returned. (The part of Toronto I live in, though supposedly Italian, seems to attract the fans of every Latin country during the World Cup. After the Ecuador-Honduras game it was loud till midnight or so.)

Dempsey with a hammie? I didn't think so, he just looked totally fashed out. I sort of follow Dempsey because he is from, of all places, Nacogdoches, Texas, as am I. Used to see him in high school, then up from there. Was it Bedoya who went down and was taken off? I thought it was a knee... :-\

I totally agree: these Latin countries are so noisy and extravagant in their celebrations. It's really unpleasant.

I see the Dutch have spanked Chile. 2-0, fairly complete stomping, although I would have enjoyed to see the game. How does this leave things in the Group? I know Holland have won it, can Chile still advance?  :)

Chile advanced before this final match. THe other game (Spain Australia) is meaningless and only for pride.

Ah, good for them, then. I have been too busy to even check it out, just caught a score and headline. Thanks, Paul.
