I saw too awesome comic book movies this summer: X-Men Days of Future Past, and Guardians of the Galaxy.  The first might actually make it to my short list.  I have to rewatch it though a few times once it comes out on home video to be sure.

Jaakko Keskinen

I picked:

Spiderman 2

Iron man

Dark knight (toss-up with x-men 1 but I decided there has to be at least one DC movie).

Avengers

Iron man 3
"Javert, though frightful, had nothing ignoble about him. Probity, sincerity, candor, conviction, the sense of duty, are things which may become hideous when wrongly directed; but which, even when hideous, remain grand."

As this thread resurfaced, I think I would change my vote from Dark Knight to Batman Begins. .

What a coincidence, I noticed Batman Begins on HBO the other day, hadn't watched it in a while, and started to feel the same way. I think The Dark Knight is a revelation when it comes to comic book film storytelling, but Batman Begins has a more human aspect to it while we expirience Wayne's origin story. Still contains the best Batman line from the Nolan trilogy... "I won't kill you, but I don't have to save you."

I agree, David. I'm already a GOTG fanboy now after seeing that extremely fun film. But X-Men: Days of Future Past was like the Apocalypse Now of X-Men films with its bold, merciless plot. I ended up seeing it twice in the theater, was able to enjoy it as much if not more the second time, and damn those future Sentinels are fierce. Poor Colossus.
