No, the fireplace works. The equipment is on a bar at the rear of the room. You can see the video projector at the upper right. Behind the furthest beam is a 10 foot screen that drops down for hidef movies. I have a lot of fun with my friends in this room. The biggest problem in putting this all together was running the wiring. There was no way to get inside the walls, so all the wiring for the 5:1 had to be run surface mount in conduits along the baseboards. Same problem with the projector and electrical overhead. I had a guy come in and paint all the conduit to match the wood. You can't even see it any more.
