The whole thing IS baroque 8) ;)

Ha ha! Yes, in a sense! However, if you showed it to a person from the era they would probably not hire you as an artist.  :'(

What about the image below (replacing the head)...

I don't see much difference between my avatar and :

Cosi bel do

Well I'll think about that. I guess Discoboulez could wear a baroque wig, or hold a baroque precious thing while giving benediction.

Moonfish just helped me with my new permanent avatar. It's a monkey on the keys. Which is awesome.

Ha ha! I had a feeling that you would be drawn to it!   :) ;) :D
However, it is an ape - not a monkey!   :P

Yes, this again. ::) ;D

::)

By permanent you mean keeping an avatar for more than 12 hours but less than 36, right?  ;D

the phone rings and somebody says,

Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

I'd suggest Heraclitus of Ephesus (panta rhei - everything is in flux) although unfortunately there are not even semi-authentic depictions of him.

You will never have a permanent avatar, John. Deal with it!  :D

That being said, I think you never had Mozart. Now, that'd be a nice change.  ;D

If Mozart became my avatar, that truly would be shocking. No offense to Wolfie of course.

Seriously now, I suggest either Saint-Saens or Gabriel Faure. You sang their praises recently, so why not?
