Watching the series again .... couldn't resist to post it.

And so the avatar SHOULD have been...

The epitome of cool. And a genius of a filmmaker.

Okay, I've changed my mind again. Shostakovich gets my deepest admiration and I love his music above all others so he's here to stay! :) I think his picture has been my avatar longer than any composer. I remember having Elgar up there awhile but not as long as Shostakovich.

Yes, this again. ::) ;D
I voted for Bartok, but really I decided that I don't like composer avatars so much (hence why I'm no longer Ravel). I think that you should pick a photo involving something else that you are passionate about! We all love music!

Not to say I'll never have a composer avatar again. Just not for a while.
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".

:laugh:

I don't think he has one. That's probably for the better.

I've never considered a non-composer avatar. Personally, I love composer avatars and love people who support their composer of choice. There's no better way to show your appreciation for a composer than wearing their picture proudly. This said, I present to you....Dmitri Shostakovich! My favorite composer and one that I consider among the greatest of the 20th Century.

Dunno, I enjoy your changes.  However, what you can do is Shosty and just rotate the photos.  I've done that with Bogey.  Or champion a composer anyone hardly gives a rats about....that's always cool.

Florestan for example picks women composers. Even bearded ones.

That's a good idea about rotating Shostakovich photos. I do like the one I'm currently using a lot, though. However, I do have many Shostakovich photos loaded up onto my hard drive. Thanks for this idea, Bill.

Last count, is Shosty the one you have the most cds from (minus brick sets)?
