This cd got (2018) really good reviews (see Musicweb International, e.g. :

From Musicweb International
"Henryk Górecki is the only composer represented by two works on this disc with the first, Valentine Piece, being written for the solo flute. It was composed for the American flautist, Carol Wincenc, to whom he had dedicated his earlier Concerto-Cantata Op. 65. The idea was originally written on a napkin and based on a motif containing the notes C and A, the first two letters of her name. It has rather high writing for the flute which in places, to my ears at least, seems to imitate birds. This is something that is also to be heard in the other work by the composer, the one that gives the disc its title, For You, Anne-Lill, the longest work on the disc. It was composed for the Norwegian flautist Anne-Lill Ree. It begins in quite melancholy fashion, with the flute playing a melody over single repeated notes on the piano but branches out into more virtuosic sections with the occasional repeated bird-like calls on the flute and several shifts in intensity, making this a very varied piece in which the flute is really the star with the piano playing a subordinate role for a lot of the time."

I can't find a direct connection between the photo on the cover and the various pieces of music. But, in my opinion, Polish graphic designers like to use unusual themes that are not always sweet, let alone "cute".

Check out some of their stunningly beautiful and original filmposters...some are quite scary, harsh.

I haven't heard the music, and it's quite possible the cover image is the perfect match for it. The evocation of horror seems quite deliberate.

Still, I can't help but wonder if the title is abbreviated from 'I'm coming for you, Anne-Lill'.

The font and especially its colour are garish against the photo.

Oh dear.

If you want to see the full horror (and this is a big "if"), you can do so here: https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/A13l8PGgzQL._AC_SL1500_.jpg

Indeed, I don't know how I missed this one!

Yikes. I look at those and think, if she's making her album covers on the old computer in the spare bedroom, where are the recordings happening?

The Centaur CDs I own (not many) have decent labels but google 'centaur cd covers' and hit images - a plethora of weird ones (different genres) - the company is out of Baton Rouge, LA (thinking of alligators, Mardi Gras, New Orleans, voodoo, etc -  ;D )  Dave

Er, um...why is there a floral bouquet inside her piano?  For floral notes?

Oh, that's fabulous.

The more you look at it, the weirder it gets.

This would be okay-ish if it were new age music for solo piano, but it isn't.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

The bouquet has been moving around during her photo shoots! It started out behind the piano...

My largest collection from Centaur is Grieg's piano music recorded by Antonio Pompa-Baldi - I have 10 of 12 volumes (the 2 missing are the violin sonatas & piano concerto which I already had w/ others) - two of the covers shown below and all others are similar - so no oceans or flower bouquets -  ;D

Probably 20+ years ago, I heard Pompa-Baldi with our local symphony and he played some Grieg as an encore - being impressed with his performances I discovered he had recorded this collection - was in contact with Centaur's head and wondered about a discount for the whole set, well pretty measly; so using the Amazon MP, Discogs, eBay, and finally a half off sale at JPC, I collected the 10 volumes at a reasonable price.  Dave :)

Some very unfortunate shadow placement there.
