Don't know if this has been posted before.

OMG.  The more one looks at that the more one finds to be troubled about...

I'm hoping that cover doesn't fold out to a full body shot, the way Blonde On Blonde does:

I' with Orfeo. This is story appropriate, not arbitrary. On a recording of Brahms's symphonies it would be peculiar, but not so much here.

I dunno...I get the story's "looking backwards" thing, but not the "put my top on backwards this morning, and put the hoodie up over my face" thing.

And its slightly creepy looking at a bald head where a face should be. Reminds me of one of the villians from "Sapphire And Steel":

Or Bowie's "Diamond Dogs":

This morning I was searching for album art which is an ongoing project for my digital library. A search for Bizet's Carmen provided this. I understand the context of Carmen but this cover is........hmmm  ???  :o  I don't have time to browse through 136 pages looking to see if this has been posted, so.....

Terrible? Yes.
Pleasant? Yes.  :D

That's one of the best cd covers I've come across.

It was posted before (back in July 2015), but I don't think you're going to get too many complaints about the cover making a reappearance. (Unclothed females tend to be popular for some reason.)

I'm just surprised Sir George Solti allowed his name to be associated with this cover. Had he been a knight in Henry VIII's court, he'd have been executed for heresy and lewd behavior (And then Carmen would have been invited to the King's chambers for a little game of hide the red glove).

L'oiseau-Lyre did this? For a Philip Pickett compilation?

A crossover branding appeal to the D&D / LOTR market?

Dungeons & Dragons? Tunnels & Trolls? Sinners & Saints!!!
This really looks like a cover to Bard's Tale III or King's Quest VI or similar 80s/early 90s adventure or role playing games... I love it!

If it sounds like that, I don't want to hear it.

Without clicking on the link, my guess is that it's something modern and unlistenable (e.g., "Concerto For A Bowl Of Water And A Flattened Harmonica", or maybe "Requiem For 30 Voices Not Listening To Each Other" etc.)

But my initial reaction was: "What the what?"

The new erato

"Shattered Fragments" by Morton Feldman?
