Often this forum can be contentious, I'm posting this thread to express my gratitude to Nigel, Todd, and The Pink Harp. I'll not enumerate what they've done but wished to express my sincere thanks.

Son, are you on the pot again? You know, i had a cousin who died from just one marijuana,... you can go crazy from just one marijuana, Philo, - if you could only see how I'm agonizing over your plight- aarrgghh- STOP!! before it's too late!!

Whatever happened to The Pink Harp.

And Eric for that matter.

Well, I'm thankful to Mark (wherever he may be), Harry, Monkey Greg, Todd, George, amw, and many others for the advice, recommendations, and actual music they've sent to me over the years. Plus, this year in particular, Erato for answering a question about a Norwegian name, Sforzando for convincing me to read The Goldfinch before it became a prize-winner, Monkey Greg for reigniting my Bruckner love, amw for running the Schubert game, and Peter Power Pop for taking Photoshop suggestions.

Am grateful to many posters here, a few of whom I have had the pleasure of meeting (and it was a real pleasure)

Thanks to many but especially to TheGSMoeller.

This thread is too saccharine. Some party spoiling is de rigueur. >:D

I think, therefore I am.

A big thanks first and foremost to Rob: without his efforts and dedication no other thanks would have been possible.

And then, a big thanks to all of you, guys and girls. You are wonderful, either in agreeing with me or in giving me the opportunity to refute your flawed theories.  ;D ;D ;D

+1 Yes, a big thanks to Rob! I don't know him very well, but I have him to thank for continuing his efforts in assuring that GMG is classical music's greatest online forum. 8)

While visiting this thread, I just realized that I haven't thanked anyone except for Rob! :o Okay, so here it goes:

I want to thank Karl, Karlo (North Star), Brian, Jeffrey, Jeffrey Smith, Ken B, Nate (EigenUser), Moonfish, Elgarian, 71 dB, cligwyn, Scots John, Johan (although he doesn't visit us much these days), Daniel (MadaboutMahler --- wherever he could be), Paul (Springrite), and whoever else I forgot to mention for making this a great place to hang out and talk about music. I also want to thank many of you for your friendship. I realize that I'm a moody bastard, but I've really been in such a better place (mentally-speaking) lately. It feels like something good is going to happen this year and I really hope it does as I need all the positive reinforcement I can get. Sometimes I'm down and out, but talking about music with you guys has been some of the best therapy a person could ask for, so many thanks to all of you!
