I quite like Paradise Lost.

Quite enjoying Penderecki's second opera, and the music lives up to the expectation on its manner to describe demonic possession and exorcisms in events happened in a French town in 1632-38. Even though the music is dark and creepy, being attuned to his style for long I wasn't properly terrified, but the music itself does grip you, there are some harrowing effects from both the human voices and the orchestra.
