This recording has copyright issues but exists on Youtube; it's 4'40'', an hour longer than the Hollreiser, the next most complete issue. I'm into a second listening and can hear all the more Wagner working through these formulae he's been taught and thinking to himself that there are rather more interesting things he can do. It certainly goes on and on but there's a volatile force under the surface ready to escape, rather than it merely being a long serving of second-rate Weber, and the rapidity of Dutchman's emergence thereafter coming as little surprise.
