Aye, its further subtitle is (a PSA about gastrointestinal health). Davis also claims to have invented the colon as well (puncuationally speaking).

Reminds me of a joke that Norm Macdonald once told. He said that he was getting a colonoscopy and the person administering the test told him it was almost over and he said "how can you tell, are the credits beginning?"

The second season of Vikings Valhalla.  The whole vikings saga thing has run out of steam.  Only when Laura Berlin is onscreen as Queen Emma does the show compel.

In the most unlikely junk shop found this 3-part documentary by James Shapiro (author of 1599 etc) I hadn't previously know existed on Shakespeare the Jacobean playwright, on how his later plays reflect the tastes and expectations of James I.

Just watched a smokin' two-part episode from the second season of Mission: Impossible... "The Slave."

Watched the first episode of The Consultant, where award winning Christoph Waltz takes a paycheck job in a steaming pile of a black comedy.  So, so bad in every way.

Liking this much more than the previous three seasons. Quite a different tone.

I loved season one, but couldn't make it through season two.  I see now that HBO Max completely pulled the show, which is somehow even more rude and unfaithful than even Netflix is to their cult favorites.  Humph!

Not essential viewing, but much better than I expected it to be.

I agree, though I found Season 2 a bit more engaging.

Watched the first episode of History of the World, Part II.  That's enough for me.  Only Timothy Simons' portrayal of Lincoln elicited chuckles.

Homicide: Life on the Street

We bought the DVD entire series collection and have finished the first two seasons.  This show strikes me as among the best of the urban police procedurals. I especially like the ensemble cast approach, production values (minimal music) and the dialog writing and characterizations are excellent.

I believe it was created and produced by Barry Levinson who's has made four movies about Baltimore, I suppose his home town.

Good to know.  I've never been big on shtetl anyway.

"The Gold"

BBC TV Series based on the Brinks-Mat Gold bullion robbery in the 80's in an Heathrow warehouse and the subsequent investigations and ramifications.

Very nicely made and gripping despite its misleading lack of rhythm. Worth a watch.
