I knew that...sorry, I wasn't being clear enough.

I started watching it via Amazon Prime yesterday, but was too tired to finish it.

I await the remake of The Nun's Story in 10 parts. They'll keep the nudity to a minimum.

The 1980's Twilight Zone, thanks to Karl Henning's generosity.

A Little Peace and Quiet from Season I has Melinda Dillon suffering under the worst children and husband known to television (at the time: the children and husband in Better Things with Pamela Adlon as the mother are the worst in this century).

She discovers a way to stop time and enjoy a little peace and quiet!  Things, however, do not work out  too well, due to events outside the family.

Wordplay has Robert Klein (he was big in the 1970's and early '80's) suddenly hearing words which people are not saying.  Annie Potts was almost unrecognizable: of course, this episode was made almost 40 years ago!   :o
"Meet Miss Ruth Sherwood, from Columbus, Ohio, the Middle of the Universe!"

- Brian Aherne introducing Rosalind Russell in  My Sister Eileen (1942)

I have watched some Finnish feature films, particularly a few masterpieces by Aki Kaurismäki. However, I don't recall ever watching Finnish TV series. Deception (Kerma) is my first. Despite some fairy-tale-like twists in the plot, the series leaves a good impression—it's hard to tear yourself away, to be honest. The acting is impressive in the good way.

GEMINI MAN (1976)

The DVD set arrived on Friday. Episode "Minotaur" of this show is what I saw on TV when I was 10-11 years old and images of it has in my mind ever since. During the Christmas I found out (thanks to a member on another forum who somehow figured the mystery out) what I saw as a child and I have been watching this show fist on Youtube and now on DVD (over 10 years old French release, the only there is). A 90 minutes long pilot episode plus 11 regular episodes where the only ones ever produced and of these only the first six where broadcasted before the show was cancelled. Pitty, as this is a cool (at times even witty and funny) seventies show about an invisible man. The main idea of the show is this: A man named Sam Casey suffers a radiation accident which makes him invisible. He needs to wear a special watch keeping him visible, but he can make himself temporarily invisible and back to visible by pushing a button on his watch. However, he can only be invisible cumulatively 15 minutes per day. If he goes beyond this limit, he will stay invisible forever. This set-up is rather silly, but the show uses it pretty well, and let's face it: At least I need silly and entertaining shows from the 70s to balance out the all the darkness of today (such as political insanity).

I don't know this show. I don't watch much domestic shows or any newer shows for that matter. The Finnish name Kerma means cream. The English name is rather different.

The title Cream seems more fitting here, especially since Deception has already been used previously. I just finished watching it yesterday, and when the next season comes out, I'll probably continue watching. As for TV shows, I'm generally interested in new ones, which isn't always the case with feature films, where I often watch older movies.

I also prefer older movies (70s and 80s being my sweetpot). The "problem" for me with new shows is that they are in streaming services and I don't use those. The shows they show on TV are garbage or do not interest me. That said, I don't need more content. Youtube alone is too much* content and I struggle to find time to watch the Blu-rays I buy.  :D

* A couple of weeks ago I found a South-Korean Twitch IRL steamer Jinnytty (her VOD videos of live streams on Youtube since I don't use Twitch). She visited Finland at Christmas (Helsinki and Rovaniemi, the latter being the most Christmasy place in the World) and Youtube recommended the content to me as I watch a lot videos of foreigners visiting Finland. Jinnytty's VODs are crazy long, often limited by the Youtube 12 hour limit. I watched the content in parts a few hours per day. I don't know much about IRL streamers, but Jinnytty seems to be one of the best. Now I am watching her explorations in Thailand culmination into the Bangkok new year fireworks which are supposedly very impressive. She creates content faster than I can watch (The Thailand content is almost 59.5 hours from the last four days of 2024). I really enjoy this "real time format" which makes the experiences hit harder for me. It is really immersive. I don't like ADHD editing. This stuff is totally free of that. The only "editing" is the changing between front and back cameras of the phone. For those with very little time she also has a Youtube Channel for about 15 minutes videos edited from her VODs which are kind of trailers to her VODs. Anyway, there is no need for more content in my case. I hardly even listen to music these days because I am watching Youtube almost in "panic mode" to not miss the most important videos!  :D

The Twilight Zone, Season 5 (I think this is easily my favorite season of the show):

Roy Bland

Surely the worst Poirot/Suchet.Maybe that it isn't Christie at his best but distorting the plot and transforming an international intrigue into a banal romantic revenge is an absolutely bad idea

Law & Order, Season 21 - I know, I know.

Second time through this great series. Michael K. Williams was the man. So sad he's gone.

I'll have to see if I can convince my wife to watch it. I've wanted to watch this for some time now.

Unforgettable. The drama and Michael K. Williams/Omar both. RIP indeed.

Does watching the Commanders defeat the Lions count?
I am a Washington fan and I am stunned.  Detroit has such a great team.
Like Joe Namath said many years ago, "On any given Sunday."
