What TV series are you currently watching?

I really enjoyed The Blacklist. And I have seen the actor who plays Dembe a few times in my neighborhood. I said hello to him once, I waved and said "Dembe!" He smiled.

Wow, that pretty cool! I saw the series when it first aired, and I enjoyed it enough to watch again just a few years later. The writers always came up with such interesting and sometimes intricate plots, if not always plausible. I'm in the part where Elizabeth is a wanted fugitive, and Dembe just got shot by Paul Rubens!

Just finished up The Mentalist:



Patrick Jane never lost his charm. I found all the episodes good fun to watch, and the cast of characters surrounding Jane were wonderful - all of them fit with him perfectly. My sole complaint was that I felt they dragged out the Red John storyline too long. I felt that should have ended in Season 3 or 4 - it felt very, very silly by the time we reached its conclusion - by then - Patrick Jane was magic and the team infallible, which would normally bother me a lot - see Bones or Law & Order, but Jane is so charming that he makes that nonsense watchable. I also didn't really care for how the show ended, but it also ended in the only way that it could - given everything that had happened up to that point, so I am happy they didn't go the Mass Effect 3 route, and I suspect most Mentalist fans were very happy with how the show concluded.
