John McLaughlin and Paco de Lucia, recorded in concert from East Berlin on July 17, 1987. To say this collaboration was inspired is to put it mildly. Beyond the technical proficiency and Flamenco pyrotechnics beat a single heart of consummate love for music and dedication to the art of the instruments they played. To hear them together in this concert was to hear one cohesive unit, exploring, searching and attaining new heights – the expression of two souls joined as one.
