This one might be difficult (for some) and quite easy for others, but what are your Top 5 Favorite Works from Roussel? There are no stipulations for this poll. Have fun! ;D

My list (in no particular order):

Symphonies 2 & 3
Le festin de l'araignée
Evocations
Bacchus et Ariane

Mr Bloom

#1
Piano concerto op.36
Symphony n.3 op.42
Violin sonata n.2 op.28
Evocations op.15
Deux mélodies op.19

Brian

I like Roussel, so I'll answer, but seriously: when will these top five polls stop?

Bacchus et Ariane
Suite in F Major
Symphony No. 3
Le marchand de sable qui passe
Symphony No. 1

Great list, Brian. I'll have to turn my attention to Suite in F major as it's one that you seem to praise highly. I think I've only listened to it a few times.

It's just so darn FUN! A "light" music neoclassical masterpiece.
