Buck up, happens all the time.

Keep at it!

Many years ago a literary agent sent me a regretful rejection, saying that my novel was wonderfully "original" and written with "great style," which was why "it will never be published."

Recently an agent wanted to know the names of 5 novels (Five!!!) which were "similar to" my novel.  ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Why would I ever write a novel "similar to" five other novels?!  :P >:D

Such is our era: originality is spurned for the safe, the simple, the mediocre, and the derivative.
