Thought I'd pop in here. I'm 22 year old Texan and I love classical music. Once I started having some extra money to buy things a few years ago, I started buying Naxos albums off Amazon and now I have hundreds.
Some of my favorite composers: Beethoven, Haydn, Dvorak, Vaughan Williams, Faure and Nielsen. But there's a lot more that I really like and still more to discover.

A plane was going down in a bad storm.  The pilot said everyone would die unless they shed the weight of three people.
An Englishman cried out, "For King and country!" and jumped out of the plane.
A German yelled, "Deutchland uber alles!" and leaped through the door to his doom.
A Texan shouted, "Remember the Alamo!" - and tossed out one of the Mexican passengers.

Greetings.

Welcome! What Vaughan Williams do you like? He is one of my very favourite composers too.

Welcome!  Given whose music you already like, you might try some Mozart, Smetana, Franck, Holst and Sibelius.  And if you're really daring, you might sample Mahler--or better yet, dive right into his music  ;D

Are you related to the Scottish king who took the English throne after Elizabeth?
