Feel free to refresh our memories regarding your taste in music.

My taste in music is pretty catholic - except for opera, there only a few I like.  As a teenager I enjoyed Verdi, but now I only tolerate those.  I can listen to Berlioz's Les Troyens every couple years and get into the music.

I tend to like the music of Adams and Alkan, Bach and Brahms, Dowland and Debussy... brass, woodwinds, many stringed instruments including the piano... renaissance, baroque, classical, romantic, 20th C, newer.

I have been known to express an opinion, sometimes knowledgeable sometimes not.  My sense of humor is highly developed, not always appreciated.

Gurn, whether or no I am a 'good element' is definitely debatable. In my community the tendency to talk a lot is sometimes offset by the tendency to laugh at others' jokes.  I am also a 'gunner', but that is OK around my neck of the woods.

I've been around so long that the common-in-the-US perception of Vermont as a 'liberal' state is pretty amusing.

One listen to Les Troyens certainly goes a long way. I'm not a big fan of Adams, but of the others, certainly. ... I have a feeling you'll fit right in.
