Berthold Goldschmidt doesn´t seem to have his own thread, so here´s one.

I am no expert, but two bargains of some of his chamber music on the Largo label were a positive surprise - very catchy and very well-played:

"Letzte Kapitel" CD - contains String Quartets 2+3, and Letzte Kapitel for vocals & ensemble
"Früher und Später" CD - contains String Quartet 1, Clarinet Quartet, Piano Sonata op.10

I've been meaning to hear the String Quartets. What can you tell me? I hear either 2 or 3 is a Masterpiece...
