Marc

1947-2016.

I do not know what kind of music he liked, but he danced on the pitch like a ballet dancer.

He certainly was a childhood hero of mine, I was mesmerized by his movements.

May he rest in peace.

Marc

He was much more than just a football player, with a.o. his Cruyff Foundation & Cruyff University, helping kids, disabled and abled, to have fun in sports and combine sports with school and studying.

And he talked in a unique way, with a dizzying puzzling logic.

About a handful of his (more or less understandable) pronuncations ended up in the Dutch dictionary, and even in the Spanish ("en un momento dado").

Still, I mostly remember him as that skinny guy who danced around all those massive defenders.

Much sadness and mourning in the Netherlands today and of course in Barcelona, where he was honoured with the nickname El Salvador.
