Barb rubbing Richard Chamberlain's bare chest years later in tv mini-series was much more erotic than this.  :)
Saint-Saëns, who predicted to Charles Lecocq in 1901: 'That fellow Ravel seems to me to be destined for a serious future.'

Not bad.  But one of my favorite erotic movies is The Piano; the scenes with Holly Hunter and Harvey Keitel sizzle! ;D

It's this one from The Lady Eve (1941).

Yes, this had to be a thread!

I'm not sure at all what the most erotic scene might be. But I've been thinking about your post and as a result a few scenes/films come to mind. They're not all things that I find erotic though. I just believe they fit the bill in some way.

Ah, I dont know how to embed video using this tablet...

Body Heat (1981)
https://youtu.be/UyLPINB34vo
The whole scene is charged, so much that even the wind chimes become a kind of an itch.

Desert Hearts (1985)
https://youtu.be/Yh577dkKglY
There's an exchange (here at about 02:30 in this mini documentary) where Helen Shaver asks a question and receives the reply "waiting for you".

Big Sleep (1946)
https://youtu.be/AO9Q-81w6KQ
I've mentioned this before in another thread, but it's possible to track the development of Dorothy Malone's sexual attraction to Marlowe via the variety of ways she handles the pencil - including holding it behind her derriere while lowering herself.
https://youtu.be/JxsZ4D9kl8Y
And the 'horse racing' dialogue from the same film.

Rebecca (1940)
https://youtu.be/V6mt0ChEPLY
The fur. (About 02:20)

Un Chant D'Amour (1950)
https://youtu.be/u-ThVxykUT0
If you're homophobic you might not want to view this. But you'll be missing out on a great, powerful scene. Or maybe that should be 'a scene about handing over great power'.

Baby Doll (1956)
https://youtu.be/1gBX1znpd3k
On the swing.

Les Amants (1958)
https://youtu.be/BgSJDuyrvWI
Starting at 06:42 he strokes her hair once and then a second time, during which she finally decides to let herself go.
One of my favourite moments in cinema is after he's stroked her the second time (revealing not just her face, but also her change) when he turns his face into the shadow, which effectively removes him from the shot and so leads us to contemplate her fully. Beautiful.
(And if you don't like that, then just turn the volume up and enjoy the Brahms String Sextet No. 1 with Casals et al.)

Lola (1961)
https://youtu.be/0CPj_3bppA0
Anouk Aimee throughout - the feminine way she walks and moves with those almost continual little dips, tilting her head to one side while raising the shoulder on the same side, and shifting weight from one hip to another, and all that potent stuff that when you're on the receiving end can overwhelm you.   8)

"You overestimate my power of attraction," he told her. "No, I don't," she replied sharply, "and neither do you".

Yes true, agreed!
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

NikF,

I will reply a bit more later but for the moment I want to take the time to thank you for that very exhaustive post.

Hey, you're welcome. It was just a couple of scenes that came to mind, along with a few I've heard other people say that they liked.
"You overestimate my power of attraction," he told her. "No, I don't," she replied sharply, "and neither do you".

Yeah, that's a great one. I also like the scene where Marlowe meets Carmen for the first time. The legs have something to do with it.

Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

"Then she tried to sit in my lap while I was standing up" - yeah, she's something else. ;D In real-life there are young women like that and invariably they prove to be real trouble. But then again, you only live once, so...  8)

Oh yeah. After I graduated high school, and before leaving town for college, I worked for a few months in a diner with an underage Carmen. I swear she must have studied The Big Sleep. Her flirting drove me crazy. Her twin worked there too. Double jeopardy.

Any woman who knows what she has can use it to great effect. However when they're young they're still testing themselves, and when that's combined with a young man's constant passion, the effect is powerful. But you survived it and you're here to tell the tale. Then again, twins? ;D I've been around, but I never had to handle twins.
