Early June was Dvorak. June/July has been Bruckner. What's next?

I'll start:
Karl Amadeus Hartmann

Sergeant Rock

I think he'll surprise us. My guess: Ditters von Dittersdorf. MI and 71dB will have a grand old time together recommending and discussing Ditters' recordings.

Sarge
the phone rings and somebody says,
"hey, they made a movie about
Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

That would be A Magnificent Obsession.   8)

As to his next obsession...

I will guess...

LEIF SEGERSTAM!!!

Imagine showing friends 16 feet of CD's and saying: "I own all 297 1/2 symphonies of Leif Segerstam !!!"   8) 8) 8)

"Meet Miss Ruth Sherwood, from Columbus, Ohio, the Middle of the Universe!"

I'd say either Prokofiev or Shostakovich will be my next avatar. I should really flip a coin here. Heads = Prokofiev, Tails = Shostakovich.

Ah, but I did have K. A. Hartmann as an avatar before and he's certainly a favorite of mine. Love that Germanic Expressionistic angst. :) I believe this is the photo I used for my Hartmann avatar:

Have I told you that a descendant of his was one my students?  She only had one "n" in the last name, but her face - complete with those large eyes - told me that she had to be related.

She had no idea, however, that any composer named Karl Amadeus Hartmann was actually her great-great-grandfather. :D

There is also the slight chance that the coin will land on its side.

If that's the case then Dvorak will become my avatar. ;)

The new erato

I guess he will reach Monteverdi in May 2019 and Machaut by summer 2020.

Hah!!
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.
