I was expecting that Tony, the ultimate watcher of all films obscure will certainly guess No.4, woman wearing a head scarf shot inside the car? That is so makhmalbafian not even to mention kiarostamiesqueness of the setting but no, he guesses the Terminator, friggin Terminator and supposedly on memory from decades ago, yeah right, I've seen Terminator (1 & 2) at least 2-3 times and couldn't remember that

hahaha Just checked the release date -- I was 11  I think it got burned into my memory. As boys we put a lot of pressure on each other to see that film -- all the talk during ski race days and at school was about terminator, or metallica, or some other  testosterone-pumping thing, and if you missed out you got heavily ridiculed for it. Gotta say I'm rather happy that I remembered it. I think the blue colour triggered it as I considered it on the first pic too.

You're not missing much, really. The central concept of the movie is that they're trying to make a film, but things keep going wrong. Most of the movie is them redoing the same take again and again. There's only so much I can take of someone saying "Where are my white socks?"

Yes, it's Él (AKA This Strange Passion). One of the best I've seen from him, and sadly not in print (in the US, anyway).
