My favourite PC by Rachmaninov is No. 4 and here is my favourite version:

I was surprised not to find a thread on the recent Arthur Rubinstein 14th Master Piano Competition.

The Russians were well represented in the last round, 5 out 6 concertos.
The two first prizes excelled in the Prokofiev 2nd:

Of course, there had to be a Tschaikovsky Numero Uno, seemingly way easier by comparison:

My all around choice was actually Osokins who played the Rachmaninoff 3rd, also done by an 18 year old Italian. See whom you like the best...

In my experience, if anyone dares to play Rach 3 at a music contest, s/he'll probably win. :o

Perhaps, but the Third Rach is a surer bet.
