There's too much music in my brain, sometimes a tune from 8 years ago shows up...I think it's Beethoven and I'm sure it's well known. But I haven't been able to identify it.

:( Why can't I upload an m4a... It's the former my phone recorded my horrid humming in.

Eli

It starts with the accompaniment

Bum bum bum bum bum I think they are plucked?

Da darara darara da darara da da.

The violin concerto (Beethoven) starts with bum bum bum bum bum on solo timpani, although I would notate the following woodwind theme, using your very easy-to-learn system, as Da da dara, darara dara da.

I've also added to your system by the use of a comma to indicate articulation, but all the great innovators have to put up with that - no sooner do they hit on a brilliant idea than lesser mortals start messing around with it.

Thanks for your suggestion, is definitively not an opening, it has a tempo like a scherzo. I know it's going to be something obvious, is the frustrating part.

The scherzo from the quartet op.127 opens with a few plucked chords.
The most famous pizzicato scherzo is from Tchaikovsky's 4th symphony but this one does not have an "introduction".

Plucked accompaniment shows up in romance/serenade style moderate/slow movements. Cannot think of a Beethoven example, though. The most famous one is the so-called serenade attributed to Haydn and used in the movie "Ladykillers".
Tout le malheur des hommes vient d'une seule chose, qui est de ne savoir pas demeurer en repos, dans une chambre.

M4A's are not allowed as file types for attachments. Can you convert to another format? Or ask Dungeon Master if he'll add that extension to the list of allowable types. Also if you can zip the file you can attach it.

Or PM someone you trust, get their email, and send your file that way. I'll help you if you wish.

Any offers? I never did figure out what piece it is. I'm sure it's something obvious though. Luckily it's not stuck in my head now.
