Conductor Samo Hubad dies aged 99

Ljubljana, 31 August - Conductor Samo Hubad, one of the leading Slovenian conductors who headed the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, has died at the age of 99, the daily Dnevnik reported.

Can't say I'm familiar with his work.
Will have to do some searching.
When, a few months before his death, Rachmaninov lamented that he no longer had the "strength and fire" to compose, friends reminded him of the Symphonic Dances, so charged with fire and strength. "Yes," he admitted. "I don't know how that happened. That was probably my last flicker."

I'd like to track a vinyl copy of this one down.
