Like many, we got to Feltre as the final destination of the Alta Via 2, the north south crossing pf the Dolomites from Brixen in the south-Tyrol to Feltre.  There were some dramatic moments during this 12 days hike, and one of them was the crossing of the "Passo delle Farangole" (2972m) (picture below).

Thank you very much DSCH71! Easy to guess who is you favorite composer  :)...
Have you ever listened to the symphonic cycle with my city orchestra (beside La Scala) conducted by Oleg Caetani?

Quite unknown, but it got excellent reviews (Amazon.com, ClassicsToday.com)
I have Symphony 4 in this cycle - it is excellent.

That looks amazing. I am not familiar with the Dolomites but I also love hiking.
Do you know the Alta Via 1 & 2 in the Vallée d'Aoste? I use to spend most of my holidays in the village of Champoluc, close to the Monte Rosa and the Matterhorn. All the mountain paths there have no secrets to me  8)

Thank you! From that cycle I also find Symphony 5 and 8 terrific.

Thank you!
I love Vienna, you are lucky to live in such a place which has so much to offer in terms of concerts and music events.

Hello Giocar. I recall seeing your moniker over there. I am not much of an opera buff, and most of Shosty's music is is of the general emotional 'angstiness' that I no longer seek out - used to though - so haven't gotten into your threads. I suspect that just makes us even.
Salud e dinero... Hah! So that's what is missing.

Hello Ukko, I'm not much an opera fan as well if by opera you're meaning Italian opera. Yes, I do like a lot the later Verdi, most of Puccini, some Rossini, that's all more or less. I've never really got into Bellini or Donizetti or the Verismo. Weird, isn't it? After all, I'm Italian...
Shosty? Yes, I like it, but he's not in my top 10, I guess.
Perhaps you're confusing me with someone else...No problem  ;), happy to see you here.

Yep, that vander-fellow. Apparently, large avatars have no effect on my dementia. My medic was right again.
