Nice to meet you! Though I should warn you I'm not big on Prokofiev... maybe you'll change my mind one of these days.

Nah, I'm not going to try and change your mind. If you don't like him then I'll just learn to accept it. It should be noted that I change my avatar all the time. Prokofiev is just one of many of my favorite composers.

Great to see you here Crudblud! Looking forward to a plethora of excellently written posts, witty remarks and other :D

Once more, a new "familiar" name and avatar here - your new FZ picture is great.
Welcome, and enjoy!  :)

That's fine, but I meant it more in the sense that I'm open to recommendations any time.

Thanks! I thought I'd pick out the most ridiculous one I could find. I also thought it was appropriate for the impending apocalypse U.S. election.

It's amazing how many x TC people are here is it raising the IQ level of both forums?  ;D

Dunno the effect on GMG. The general comfort level at TC is probably improving as the thought level declines.

Salud e dinero... Hah! So that's what is missing.

Totally understand. In that case, check out Scythian Suite (in particular, the Gergiev performance). Has a Le sacre-like feel to it.

Edit: I noticed you're not a fan of Le sacre, so nevermind. ;)

I checked it out anyway. I wouldn't say they're all that similar, but I can see what you mean all the same. I liked some bits of Scythian, which is good because I have handholds to branch out from when I listen to it again, but overall it isn't quite my thing right now.

Bumping because I didn't know where else to post this.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone here. My first two weeks at GMG have been very enjoyable and I believe I'm here to stay.

Welcome from me too.

'TC people'? Don't know what that means. Can only think of 'Top Cat' one of my favourite TV programmes as a child!

Talk Classical, another forum. It seems many recent members have 'migrated' from there to here.
