I'm going to change the terminology from "points" to "tier." I hope that captures the spirit of the project a bit better.

Glume Profusion

+2 Dvorak: Symphony No. 9
+1 Dvorak: String Quartet No. 12, "American"
-1 Brahms: Horn Trio

GioCar

Verdi: Falstaff +2
Wagner: Ring +1
Sibelius 7 -1

coffee, please correct the Monteverdi. It is "Madrigali guerrieri, et amorosi" (Madrigals of War and Love). What you wrote sounds quite funny in Italian ("Madrigals of the Warriors and loss of sight" - amarosi in Italian sounds very similar to amaurosis)  :D

Thank you!
you are welcome, but still to be completed.
"Madrigali dei guerrieri" = "Madrigals of the Warriors" is wrong
"Madrigali dei guerrieri" = "Madrigals of War" is wright
just the 3-characters word "dei" (of the) can drastically change the meaning of the sentence. "Guerrieri" can be both an adjective (warlike) and a noun (warriors - it's plural)
Sorry for being such a pedant...

You are now officially my enemy.

PerfectWagnerite

What a stupid thread. You can't just lookup top 100 pieces in classical music or something to that order?
