You don't debate facts,

Jesus didn't have much to say about maintaining the integrity of a nation-state but he did say render unto Caesar what is his. YOU STILL DON'T GET IT! You swallow the media hype without even chewing it. Why don't you access the video of Bill Clinton declaring in front of Congress the need for strong borders with everyone clapping, even before the exponential rise in drug cartels over the last 20 years?

There is nothing wrong with legal immigration but having porous areas where ANYONE can slip though is about the stupidest thing anyone can imagine and dangerous, too. The services have been very humane to children, much more than their parents who subject them for weeks on end to the hot sun and even worse.

Jesus never said don't protect your children from rapists and predators. Too many American citizens have been attacked and killed by illegals. Sorry, this is fact.

So people fleeing violence and poverty are rapists. I see.

Your facts are your ignorance. Self imposed it seems as you appear educated.

This implied assertion, that brown people are rapists is that of a racist.

I do wonder how moms with toddlers find time to rape but if YOU say so....

So you figure Jesus would have turned away mothers with children fleeing violence.

That is not what I was taught in the Christian faith i was brought up in.

Clearly Trump has empowered racists, be proud.

I'd like to point out one crucial metric not addressed in the article you cited. While it lists murder conviction rates for undocumented immigrants, it doesn't track what proportion of their murder victims are other undocumented immigrants. Obviously,
Trumpsters don't care if "illegals" kill each other, they only care about them killing regular 'Muricans.  ::)

In any case, facts won't matter. In a week she will cite the same discredited statistics.

Wouldn't it be nice if you can canonize yourself? St. Whatever your name is!
You don't read a thing I write and just distort it to fit your narrative of anyone disagreeing with you imust be a racist. I said clearly that the real, acting racists support Planned Parenthood but you skipped over that post.

It ONLY stands to reason that serious would-be immigrants would do it the legal way and not try to sneak in.
Those who do, frequently have ulterior motives, and NO it is NOT the fault of the demand for drugs that the drug peddlars slip throught the net.

The problem with comparisons to Hitler is that his rise is paradigmatic, and all of the tools he used are in the fascist playbook. But neither the Holocaust nor world war are a guaranteed result of electing a fascist. Trump does check the fascist boxes without checking the extra Hitler boxes.

you post reads as a post a racist would make. It has nothing to do any narrative from me. Again, if you don;t want to be thought of as someone that thinks as a racist, don't write as a racist. You posts don't lead me to believe you like cute pink bunnies. I only know what you write.

I have seldom met a racist that was self labeled as such. Most folks have no idea they are.

People fleeing violence need to hire a lawyer and pray you say? Guess what, people are human. We humans flee violence, often without food or shelter. Read history. Your demands are self serving and an immoral obstacle to those in peril or poverty.
Your idea of reason would have me salivate to debate you for gain.

Thanks but no need for canonization.

I am human and as such a member of a failed species. None in such a species deserve canonization.

There is no right or wrong, good or bad. These are simply labels we apply to explain actions.

Me favoring moral actions is no better nor worse than you favoring immoral ones. Nothing to canonize. Only good for defining, understanding.

Hope this helps!

It's the kind of poor symbolism that will cost the Dems a mid term election take back of congress.

What bloody nerve! So I have, according to you, "unconscious" racism because I oppose porous borders.
You are absolutely wrong and out of line.
No one has to "hire a lawyer". There are places in Mexico where one can apply for asylum in the US.
My forebears were fleeing poverty but never did anything illegal. They were not seduced by welfare freebies but by the prospect of having to work hard, which they did.
It doesn't make ANY sense to "flee violence" by jumping in with the sharks in the no-man's land between Mexico and the US where the gangs RULE.
Again, descendents of former Spanish colonists are as white as any European, so all this racist garbage is just a dog's breakfast.

Wrong. Very wrong. You are fact challenged.

In Honduras, 1% of inhabitants are classified as white, 90% mixed blood, 7% pure Indian and 7% blacks. Guess which ones make up the upper class ?

In Guatemala, 18% are white, 41 % indian (ever heard of the Mayas ?). Poverty stands at 52% and analphabetism 24%. It also has the highest fertility rate in the Americas.

Nicaragua has one of the most repressive regimes in our time. The 2006 election was stolen but hailed by Chavez and Castro as a « grandiose victory ». Its population is 17% white, the rest being indian, black or of mixed blood.

No need to worry about the white minority in these countries. They fare pretty well thank you and are not interested in relinquishing their privileges.

So you figure poor people, fearful of violence should contact a lawyer and get in line. Yes, I am sure that is what Christ would have said.

You know what makes no sense to me? People who limit their intellectual awareness to support their want.

As to boarders, nothing natural about them. I told you before, people migrate away from violence and hunger. It's natural and helped to advance the species.

What does not make sense is you not understanding that people in fear and wanting a better life migrate and not always in a manner that someone who sits in 3000 square foot home with air conditioning considers prudent. Talk about arrogance...

BTW, our boarders are just fine. More people leaving the USA than illegally coming in. That started under Obie.

Tying crime to illegal immigration (no basis in fact) then solving the non existent problem  by jailing children, well, maybe you learned from the teachings of a different Christ than I growing up.

One Sure Way to Hurt the U.S. Economy? Cut Immigration

So as President Donald Trump continues his efforts to dramatically restrict legal immigration to the U.S., it's important to remember the last time this was done, and the economic carnage that followed. Immigration restriction might not touch off a huge recession this time — the bursting of the housing bubble a decade ago might mean there's not as much of a bubble to be popped — but the economic consequences will be negative nonetheless. The mistakes of the 1920s should be a cautionary tale, not an example to emulate.

Will Trump Be Meeting With His Counterpart — Or His Handler?

The first intimations that Trump might harbor a dark secret originated among America's European allies, which, being situated closer to Russia, have had more experience fending off its nefarious encroachments. In 2015, Western European intelligence agencies began picking up evidence of communications between the Russian government and people in Donald Trump's orbit. In April 2016, one of the Baltic states shared with then–CIA director John Brennan an audio recording of Russians discussing funneling money to the Trump campaign. In the summer of 2016, Robert Hannigan, head of the U.K. intelligence agency GCHQ, flew to Washington to brief Brennan on intercepted communications between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The contents of these communications have not been disclosed, but what Brennan learned obviously unsettled him profoundly. In congressional testimony on Russian election interference last year, Brennan hinted that some Americans might have betrayed their country. "Individuals who go along a treasonous path," he warned, "do not even realize they're along that path until it gets to be a bit too late." In an interview this year, he put it more bluntly: "I think [Trump] is afraid of the president of Russia. The Russians may have something on him personally that they could always roll out and make his life more difficult."

While the fact that the former CIA director has espoused this theory hardly proves it, perhaps we should give more credence to the possibility that Brennan is making these extraordinary charges of treason and blackmail at the highest levels of government because he knows something we don't.

One has to consider the level of resistance to believing the worst among anti-Trumpsters. It looks like there is not enough TrumpHate in the Universe to force people to confront what Brennan is getting at, that Trump is compromised just as badly as it looks. What I'm getting at is there's no need to be surprised by what we're going to learn.

Food for thought on immigration

Quote
In the global apartheid perspective, nation-states are compared to South African homelands; that is, territories reserved for nonwhites. National boundaries, passports, border patrols and fortifications function as reinforcements of racial segregation at the world level, since they provide effective control mechanisms for keeping nonwhites (of the South) out of white areas (of the North) of the world, if so desired. An economic consequence of that, as Mukherji observes, is a severe limitation of labor mobility on a global scale from nonwhite to white areas. Furthermore, as Arghiri Emmanuel has shown, the fact that low-wage labor of the world is captive in certain territories provides the foundation for a system of unequal exchange between South and North. [18]

A self-styled marxist like Arghiri Emmanuel, whom others repudiate as a heretical deviant. . . . His explanation of the unequal distribution of wealth in the world economy, and the unequal terms of North-South, rich-poor trade is truly systematic (Emmanuel 1971, 1976). His analysis rests on the contradiction between the mobility of capital and credit, moving freely from country to country, and the immobility of labour, prevented by immigration laws from responding to differential wages in national economies. Trade, and incomes, thus become unequal and high wages are maintained in industrial countries, while wages for exactly the same kind of work remain low in the developing countries. When goods are exchanged, the low-wage country is paid for its product at low prices, the high-wage country at high prices. By contrast, liberal economists usually take the limitations of migration for granted, as if they were inherent, rather than a politically-imposed characteristic of the system; nor do they inquire closely into the explanation of wage differentials.

One criticism is that the technology-enabled mobility of capital has certainly narrowed this gap, at least in Asia where the greatest movement out of poverty in history occurred in the past few generations.  Trump seems to be attacking the mobility of both capital and labor - the vitrol against mobile German and Canadian capital ( tariffs serve to block the mobility of capital) is a parallel with attacks on mobile Latin American labor.

Now there is reverse discrimination in South Africa, quotas on just about everything. Many whites now live in abject poverty. Soon it will go down the road of Zimbabwe. It has already been declared to take farms from white farmers who had them from generations.

Would a Chavez or Castro be designated as white or brown? Here is where the silliness comes in. Native Americans, North or South, used to be regarded as a form of Asiatic with their more or less black hair and lack of folds iabove their eyes. People of East Asian origin conceivably did not spend as much time in the sun so they are lumped in the category of "white" as regards privileges and demands for sympathy. So in principle tanned Causasians should also be granted a designation of their own.  Ayran racial theory was also phony and did cause no end of trouble as these arbitrary groupings are doing now.

Why have blacks not had farms for generations?

Same here. Trumpets think that affirmative action discriminates against those that have all the advantages for generations.
Unless you prefer reparations to quotas you should support quotas or, SHUT UP about equal opportunity nonsense.
