Hi!

Does anyone know the name of the work that sounds at the beginning of this video (until the second 27)?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obwyxYmSJ3g

Thank you so much!

It´s the Egmont Ouverture, by Beethoven - but broken up

A somewhat dull recording https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VP7RnuCmM00

No, it isn't. The music is very different. The music is from 0:00 to 0:27.

Like I said, the original music has been broken up for the video presentation.
Check out my link at 5:00, for example
.

Sorry, I got different introductory music for your link at first (Egmont). And pictures with stairs too.
Weird - lasted 27 seconds. Possibly a commercial.

Oh, that's such a short clip of a music that it's difficult to tell.

Definitely not A Colour Symphony, but I believe the old TV intro music for the BBC Proms was an excerpt of that. I have been under the assumption that the new intro music was composed specifically for the purpose it is being used for as it sounds a little bit more like stock music/film music than what it used to.

I think the same. It does not correspond to a "classic" as such. Anyway, thanks for the help!
