About the performance issues: It normal internet speed, performance problems with Youtube embedded websites are typically:

a) Youtube servers themselves. Video broadcasting bandwidth is often slow..
b) Your browser initially and once has to load a flash plugin, which can be time consuming dependent on your system.

Anyway I think it's great to have that in fora because it's much easier to tell what we mean.

You need this code:

The dimensions in the opening flash tag you can modify to suit.

The key is that you take a YouTube URL, e.g.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jv_jkju_iZg

. . . take the video ID from after the equals sign, and plug that in after the last slash of the code above.

Indeed,I changed http in https and it is working now.I was worried that I had serious aging problems.Thank you fot the tip.

Any idea why there will no longer be Flash?  I use Macs, so will have to keep eyes open as to what and when Apple will be doing.

Flash is a security nightmare. It is used to transmit malware. It has been replaced as a video standard by HTML5. But not all websites have made the move to the new standard yet.

I thought it wasn't going to work any longer (after 1/1). So that's good. Chrome is quite pissed at me for continually telling to to f**k off when it wants to shut down Flash altogether.

I would dump Chrome, except my phone and tablet sync with my computer on so many things, it's very handy for saving links remotely and having them show up on my desktop when I log on.

For that reason I kept with Chrome for far too long.  It stopped working with Outlook 365 and it was a huge resource hog on my work PC.  I switched to Firefox and imported everything over.  I installed Firefox on all of my PCs, my Phone and my Ipad and everything is hunky dory.
