As per subject.
Please also add a youtube link if available.

The one that got me hooked to it was Shlomo Mintz with Levine and BPO, here the 1st mov --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxAKFsscEXY

Afterwards I got to love also Vengerov's (as I almost always do with him).

I have huge respect for HH but her Curtis-powered vibrato is way too rich for my diet.  And while Sibelius's is a romantic concerto par excellence, I want some Scandinavian ice in it.  Ginette Neveu gives me the chills I crave and with such a singular power of expressive interpretation I am often overcome listening to it:  1st movement:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Oy24SIvesg

There are so many wonderful recordings of it that it's really difficult to choose.  And it's one of those works that's strong enough to support differing interpretations.  Even so, disappointing to me - maybe only 'cause I expected far better from a violinist I love very much - is Anne-Sophie Mutter's recording with Previn.  She, perhaps they, turn it into a warm Mediterranean love fest.  Mind, I've nothing against warm Mediterranean love fests, but I doubt that's what Sibelius had in mind.

My vote goes to Hilary Hahn/Salonen on DG. This interpretation has it all for me.

Maybe Anne-Sophie Mutter, maybe Heifetz (Beecham), maybe Oistrakh, maybe Gitlis, maybe Adele Anthony or Vaclav Hudecek.

I dislike all recordings where the first movement is longer than, say, 16:30.

That's my favorite, too...I got to play this work with Hendl conducting, orchestra accompanying a Performer's Certificate candidate.

It was awesome - he really knew the piece.
