Pat Mastelotto and Tony Levin from King Crimson, with (touch) guitarist Markus Reuter. They were playing in my home town yesterday. Great show, liked their material and they even played some King Crimson songs (Vrooom Vrooom, Industry, Sartori in Tangiers, Larks Pt.II!) and Breathless from Fripp's solo album Exposure, you won't hear that one live very often...:

First spin.

The only song I really know from T.Rex is Diamond Meadows from the film Velvet Goldmine, which I love the film and the music. Should I explore more?

Absolutely.

I like The Slider, but found that Electric Warrior is even better.

If you like the sound of the Glam Rock period then Marc Bolan was one of the high points. He worked very hard to create and maintain his own sound which was quite unique.

Thanks for the rec, my friend. I'll check out Bolan's music for sure.

Having another one of those days when I cant really decide what to listen to - I guess theres a lot to be said for just choosing music at random but I think I get a bit more pleasure out of it when I have some sort of plan.
I will have to get back to Midnight Oil and other Aussie rock bands soon I think but for the time being playing this:
