Recent listening:

Jean-Michel Jarre - Oxyene #3

Finally got around to listening to JMJ's 2nd Oxygene sequel.
I liked the album a lot more than I was expecting to - It seems to be JMJ in a more mellow/ambient mode which I like (I really enjoy his Geometry of Love album for example).
I don't think it sounds a lot like the previous 2 Oxygene albums though but maybe I'll notice more similarities on further listens... :)

The man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils.
The motions of his spirit are dull as night,
And his affections dark as Erebus.
Let no such man be trusted.

Queen: A Night At The Opera

The very first album I ever heard. It set the bar quite high.  8)

Yesterday I listened to this (when the forum was slow):

My first Neil Young album and still my favorite. There is a special fragility here that I want to preserve, so I don't listen to the album often. Luckily, I have a lot of other CDs.  8)

Yes indeed, I always do.  Not sure that I could name a single favorite Neil Young album, but this is certainly in the top 2 or 3.

Spinning now...

That was the first Queen album that I bought but the first one that I heard was The Seven Seas of Rhye.

Yes, I understand that.

A long term favourite of mine also.

The Sound of Folk Music - Andes

This offering has a rustic and authentic feel about it which makes it quite appealing to me. There is nothing austentatious here but we have good solid playing and singing.

Came out to mark his 70th birthday, it is generally a good group of artists covering some of his best songs.
