Richard & Linda Thompson: Shoot Out the Lights

Like a good whisky, this classic album is smooth but packs a punch!

A treasure of an album. Quiet joys of brotherhood is such a gorgeous song, and the highlight for me - but the whole thing is packed with little folk gems. Bushes and briars, now that's a fun sing-along.

Ok. Johnny Cash singing Wichita Lineman. I’m crying like a b-baby.

His cover of the Nine Inch Nails song 'Hurt', has a similar effect on me.

Hey Aligreto!  Good to see you back!  :)

Wonder whether or not they were able to get the guitar back to the banks...without it getting wet?

Oh yes, definitely. He made many wonderful albums after this one with it. I would say that it was a priority - maybe even over his wife  ;D
