Interesting, I don't know this Dire Straits album!  And I have a bunch of theirs too.  :(

Any favorites from it George?

PD

By far my favorite album of theirs.

Hard to pick, as I have only heard it twice myself, sorry.
I remember the song Industrial Disease; the other song titles aren't jumping out at me however.  Will keep an eye out for it though.

Bowie: Outside

A long album, but a riveting one, done in a couple of stints.

Jo Quail
Exsolve

Jo is a composing cellist who works primarily as a solo performer, and with metal bands such as Winterfylleth, A Storm of Light, MONO, Myrkur, and others. If you like cello crossovers toward metal and heathen folk, her music is pretty captivating.
"A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people ... then work which one hopes may be of some use; then rest, nature, books, music, love for one's neighbour — such is my idea of happiness"

You know, I have that album (All Things Must Pass), but I have never listened to it. One of those strange gaps in my listening. Need to rectify that soon.

But as for what I am listening to:

Strange, I was only listening to bits of that album the other day. I have always liked it.

Barrett/Syd Barrett.

Syd could be fun. I got the MP3 download of the Crazy Diamond box. 8)

I expected to enjoy this revisitation (only in part out of nostalgia) but the fact is, I find it an enormously gratifying listen.

Both albums are superb! IMO, both McCartney and Ringo's first albums take a back seat to these two.
