Concierto en Tango.  Aníbal Troilo, Mariano Mores, and Osvaldo Pugliese.

Is that a discovery as a result of recent travels or an old favourite?

It's an old favorite though I frequent Tango cafes in South America.  For some reasons I always liked Tango music.

Johnny Cash: The Man Comes Around

There are some powerful performances by Cash here. I liked the full sounding nature of the production on this album.

Fania All-Stars: Live At The Cheetah, Vol. 1.

Love the Fania All-Stars, and most anything released on Fania.

There's one absolutely horrible FAS release though. Very poppy and polished. It's called Rhythm Machine.

But other than that, it's a great assemblage of talent.

I've been loving this album all over again.

Hadn't spun it in quite awhile. I am put off a bit by the sound, but songwise it has some real doozies!

No, have some faith....just give it a go and remember that you're a beginner and be kind to yourself....and give yourself some time to try something different.  Maybe you won't become a "star tango dancer", but be kind to yourself in terms of self-criticism and just try it?  You never know what skills you might be able to develop....and new fun hobbies/passion that might come from this.  Give yourself the chance.  :)

Best wishes,

PD
