Listened to Buckingham Nicks for the first time (via youtube).  Wonderful album!  I was surprised to read that it didn't go over well in the US [also confirmed to me by a friend of mine who is a touch older and is big into vinyl buying--CDs too].  Amazing that it hasn't been rereleased on vinyl and apparently no official release on CD.  I also read that someone released a version on CD with supposedly additional bonus tracks.  Has anyone here heard this one and has any thoughts comments about it?

@Number Six I was also surprised that he didn't have that album nor had not heard/listened to it; he has a bunch of early FMs.  I encouraged him to listen to it.

A friend of mine has an original vinyl of Buckingham Nicks and he's played it for me a couple of times when I've been over at his place, and its a fine album. I wonder if there isn't some long running argument that has stopped its reissue, like some early contract that cheated them out of the rights and someone refuses still to cut them back in.

Huh. And now I learn for the first time that Andrew Bird and Madison Cunningham have released a full album cover of Buckingham Nicks called Cunningham Bird:

I don't know that I've ever heard that record, but I love me some Buckingham and some Nicks, so I need to seek it out.

Buckingham Nicks not on Tidal, but found it on YouTube.

What an album cover! :o

You need to read what Stevie said about it (at least from what I read on Wiki and check out the Wiki citations):  Look under "Promotion"  >:(

Sorry Simon.  I didn't mean to ignore you. I had heard about the Cunningham Bird album and started to check it out, but then went to listen to the original one (long story).  The little bit that I heard of CB was nice (just part of the first song), but when I listened to the original, well....

In any event, I felt like that I should listen to the original first...and really liked it!  :)

Irons

Spent a misspent youth dancing to Ska, or Bluebeat as we called it in the 1960's. Much change of personnel but can't help but impressed by a later incarnation of The Skatalites.

You must have a very good opinion of yourself to write a symphony - John Ireland.

I opened the door people rushed through and I was left holding the knob - Bo Diddley.

Would this classic even get airplay today?

Ex-Easter Island Head: Live from the Church of Sound (from 2016 at St James the Great Church, London). Trying to begin 2025 with some music new to me, and liking this a lot.

The group uses electric guitars struck with mallets, plus percussion and other instruments.
