Cat Wood is very nice combination of rock 'n' roll and funk.  0:)
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

Howlin' Wolf (1910-1976), a.k.a. Chester Arthur Burnett (yes, named after a 19th century American president!) - both a seminal & transitional bluesman, mainly from the 50s & 60s w/ tremendous influences on R&R muscians - the guy's voice is just amazing - if you're just getting into this music, then a MUST listen!

Hi Karl - I've always wondered about Howlin' Wolf's first two names - assume that his parent(s) must have been aware of Arthur's early experience as a lawyer in NYC (quoted below) - these kinds of 'connections' are always interesting -  :)  Dave

Believe me or not but I don't really know well Holst's Planets (at least some parts of it I have heard years ago). Anyway, King Crimson doesn't sound Star Wars-like to me (and I am a SW/Lucas/JW fan!).

excellent music in that film IMO

my two discoveries of the year, though both a few years old and essentially "classical", are Gotan Project in its entirety and Felix Lajko's Koncert '98. In characteristic fashion I listen to these every day and ecstatically await complete and utter burnout, at which time I'll try something else.

Matt McBane: Build - Five-person ensemble (violin, cello, bass, piano, drums) headed by violinist McBane, whose work here is sort of "jazz minimalism."  An example of the growing numbers of young composers weaned on rock music whose work combines many different influences.
