Absolutely. Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver) is another IMO. A shame that guy can't get his shit together. I think he has one of the best Rock voices of all time.

I liked a couple of tracks off from STP. I didn't like the ones that aped Pearl Jam. I liked Velvet Revolver a little better, maybe because of the better guitar player.

The '90s were crap.  ;D

I bet they were on the their Gothic-esque first album.   8)

I'll never understand the similarity people hear between the two bands. I guess the fact that they were both hitting it big around the same time, both Rock bands and both had Baritone singers could explain it, but I never confused them or thought that they sounded similar.

I agree for the most part. As awful as the Hair Metal of the '80's got (and BOY did it start to stink...it got even worse during the early '90's), I'll take them over the '90's any day.

They were more of a guitar-oriented band. The songs weren't particularly great from VR. I listened for Slash.

I liked that song "Vaseline". Not sure which one that was off.

I love the title!

You might have guessed that, huh? ;)

Yes.

The title was written in chinese on the cover, but nowhere else in English on the packaging for the CD or Cassette.

I really like the second album, as it proved that they could be just as successful as a straight Rock band. I still much prefer the first one, as it's heavier and darker. They said in an interview that they revamped a lot of the old Zeppelin songs when they wrote it. If you listen to the opening of the last song, "Where The River Goes" and compare it to opening of the last song on Zep IV, "When the Levee Breaks" you'll hear a number of similarities.

This might strike you as very strange, but I'm far more likely to buy the first and second STP albums before I ever spend a penny on Led Zeppelin again.

Never heard the actual music, Ernie . . . have known for years that that's the band Mick Abrahams formed after leaving Tull.
