After seeing it mentioned over on the double LP thread... great stuff

The man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils.
The motions of his spirit are dull as night,
And his affections dark as Erebus.
Let no such man be trusted.

-- William Shakespeare, The Merchant of Venice

^Listening to that now.

And doing some Bowie reading while I listen I learn for the first time that the original "Isolar" tour for Station To Station would begin with a screening of Buneul's Un Chien Andalou.

I streamed/listened to on Spotify the new Dua Lipa album Future Nostalgia. I have to say I am not into this as much as I am into her first album, especially as this has only 11 tracks and some 37 minutes of music. I suppose this will be re-released later with more music for milking. For many this 80's nostalgia may sound cool, but I find this music simple and boring. It doesn't have the edge, innovation and sound design complexity pop music has has at it's best (around 2011-2012 especially). Maybe this album is a grower, maybe it isn't, but I am not buying a copy of it. If an expanded more interesting version of it comes later maybe I think about it again. Quality pop is so hard to find these days and Kesha's "High Road" raised the bar high.

Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

The Kinks are The Village Green Preservation Society

As one can see from the above this CD contains both the Mono and the Stereo versions of this album's release. The differences are quite interesting in many ways.
