Well I had asked which REM you were listening to and got no response. On something as important a subject as REM, I should hope you would act with more haste.  ;)  ;D

BTW, I was listening to some of disc two yesterday myself. I love some of those stripped down versions of their songs, like Pop Song 89 and Why Not Smile.  :) Did you ever get that other one on IRS that came out last year?

No....if I remember, your review was not top-shelf.

That was the video that wasn't great, at least for repeated viewing.

The 2CD set is excellent, with remastered versions of 23 of their best songs (in their opinion) plus 19 rare tracks. A must buy IMO.

I was an army recruiter in the late 70s and one of my high schools was Firestone...upper-middle class kids mostly from the west side of Akron. She was a student there. I saw her a few times. Cute, short...very short. The sheer volume of sound she was able to generate, though, belied her physical stature.
