I love that photo, Henk!

Also love the version of Evenflow on that comp.  :)

Two sentences of the Okkervil River album which impress me.

"And if you don't love, I'm sorry".

"Make this world big enough, to climb inside with you".

Beautiful! And the melodies that go with it are very nice as well!

I like the suspension between the sentences as well, the first implying a rejection, the second an confirmation of love after having done hard work for it.

Henk

Listened to the lyrics wrongly.

He sings: "Make this white lie big enough to climb inside with you"

Liked my version of it better :).

Feeling a victim of DavidW's resentment something more aggressive:

Henk, dude, you and David should be mates!

In your honor: Let's Make Up and Be Friendly

Thanks, Karl. You're right. I want to be mates with David. But being a victim of ressentment, there's no way of coping with it, it paralyses. So music that can make you feel aggressive doesn't work either. Only time will heal. And maybe resentment can get out of this world.

The music of the Bonzos will heal. It does not express anything except itself  :D

Oh yeah, I almost forgot my sig! :o Queens of the Stone Age will heal to (without getting aggressive).

Henk

And there is the thought of having got the resentment out of this world again a bit.

And the feeling that I don't let me made small and weak because of resentment.

Tony Bennett - Jazz - now I'm not a big Tony fan (own a 4-CD box set & this disc), and Susan seems to be just 'totally unimpressed' w/ this singer (or 'screamer' according to her) - so, I'm giving this recording a listening tonight for our dinner music - she's 'unconvinced' @ the moment; personally I think the guy is fine but overrated - but, hey, that may just be me?  :-\

This album has just a plethora of jazz greats - well, just finished the album and put on a Sinatra disc - for us the change was like going from purgatory to heaven; after this listening, guess that I'm just not a Tony fan - any comments out there on this guy?  He seems to have become such a legend - deserved?  Not sure?   ::)

P.S. Forgot to post an interesting link - Bennett tribute to Frank; please read -  :)
